UPDATE: This level 1 (HE4) Course 1 - Art of Photography was completed between April & September 2014. Part-time studies were completed at Cardiff Metropolitan University - BA(Hons) Photography, 2014 - 2020 where Tony obtained a First Class Honours Degree.

The aims of the OCA course are to:
* introduce the principles of composition
* develop my understanding and skill in using the different qualities of light and colour
* develop my knowledge of the principle of graphic design as they apply to photography
The course outcomes are to be able to:
* use the principles of composition when planning and taking photographs using suitable cameras, lenses and other equipment
* demonstrate skills in the control of qualities of light and colour
* demonstrate a basic knowledge of the principles of graphic design in photography through a single photograph or series
* reflect on my learning experience
This learning log will enable me to record my progress through the course and will include:
* my thoughts on the work I produce for each exercise
* my ideas and observations as I work through the course
* my reflections on the reading I do and any research I carry out
* my tutor's reports on assignments and my reactions to these.
